If you are looking for a shopping center to go to or enjoy driving in traffic, you won’t find any of that inJackson Township. Our Township is “Pure Country”. There are 18.6 square miles of farms, hunting cabins, forests, dirt roads, nice folks, and a lot of wild life. We’ve seen deer, turkeys, coyotes, black bears, and a lot of other wild animals. The population, according to the 2000 census is 598 people. We are located at the top ofColumbia County, next to the State Game Lands. Our land is beautiful with its mountain streams and scenic views. If you come for a visit, please leave the land as clean and uncluttered as it was before you got here.
